Questions and answers
Does Slacklog store my customer information?
Only what we need to make your mileage log and look after your purchase, and only for as long as we need it.
Deleted after 7 days
- Your answers to our questions: dates, distances, vehicle and costs
- The customer names you entered
- Your XLSX mileage log
We hold on to these for a week in case your report email goes astray and you need another copy. After that they are deleted automatically, so save the file when it arrives.
Kept as a record of your purchase
Like any shop, we keep a record of each sale: your name, your company if you gave one, your email address, the date, the amount you paid, any discount code you used and the last four digits of your card. It lets us help with questions about a payment and resend your receipt.
After 13 months we erase your name, company, email address and card digits from that record, keeping only the date, amount and discount code for our accounts.
If you asked us to remind you next year, we email you twice, about a month before and on the anniversary of your purchase, and erase your details as soon as the second reminder has gone. Every reminder has a link to unsubscribe.
Never seen, never shared
- Payments are handled by Stripe. Your full card number never reaches Slacklog.
- Your email address is used only for your report, your receipt and any reminders you asked for.
- We never sell your information or share it with anyone for marketing. The only other companies involved are the ones doing the work: Stripe takes your payment and our email provider delivers your report.
